Hello, I have to change my front oil seal. I need some advice on pulling the crank shaft pulley. I see there is also a bushing in there . Should this be replaced as well.

Thank you, Dave

I think the bushing (sleeve) will come with the seal if you get it from a case IH dealer. Most come off hard. Don't pull from the edge of pully or it will break the pully. A bearing seperator from a cheap tool supply place like Harbor Freight will work good. Soak with your favorite penetrating oil and it may come off but if it don't leave it alone awhile and tighten more. If all fails you will need some heat. I cannot get anything to come up in the archives on this board but there are lots of post on the other Cub board. http://www.atis.net/cgi-bin/FarmallCub.pl Do a search there.

Art, take a short 1/2-13 bolt and drill a divot in the head. Thread it into the shaft and use the puller against it.
