My low boy has tires sixe 9.5 X24 could someone tell me what the length and width of the chains should be. I am going to try to make a large set fit. Thanks for any info. Chris

Huh - I think that's why God made the measuring tape.

Well with no luck on used chains and snow in the forcast could I just have a little advice on new chains. Will reg. ladder chains work ok on my low boy or will I need the more expensive ones. Thanks for any advice.

Sorry you did not have any luck with used chains. The only real problem with ladder chains is with AG tires the chains tend to slip down into some parts of the treads; thus, making them somewhat less effective.

Ladder chains will work and are much better than no chains. The good part about the chains slipping down into parts of the tread is that the chain gets very tight to the tire and really digs into the packed snow.

The better ladder chains are the "twisted" ladder type. Here the cross chain is twisted from side to side and sits up off the tread a little higher.
Most, however, are the flat ladder.

Hope this helps.

Good luck,
