Apparently you have to cut the welds on the sleeve to replace the bearings. Anyone have any experience with this procedure?

Yes, the Woods manual says to just buy a new spindle assy., $220.00. Thought I could save alot of money by just replacing the bearings and seals, and wondered if pthers have had any luck doing this.
