That's what happens when you flip the negative upside down when making a print. The emulsion side of the negative (dull side) is supposed to face the paper when creating a print. They obviously did the opposite.

I'm sure a lot of you knew that!

Rocketman you are right, I was about to explain how the photo was printed . I was scrolling down to do so and saw your post.
