Farmall Cub

When I removed the generator to have it rebuilt I wrote down how it was hooked up. mine came off as field was to the inside of tractor and armature was to the outside of tractor, I have looked at the Q&A section of this sight and found the wireing digram, if the diragram is correct it showes the armature to the inside and field to the out side.
Just would like to know which terminal is the field and which is the armature.

There is usually an A and F stamped in the case. Look hard, they may be filled up with paint.
