Hub City PTO reducers for Cubs

Postby Steve K. CALIF » Fri Apr 04, 2008 3:55 pm

Hello All, just an update on my progress of getting a quote from the factory on manufacturing the Model 22 reducer/direction changer for the Cub tractor. I have just received a quotation from the plant based on the quantites I listed earlier on the forum. They have given me costs based on these amounts, but have not yet given me the leadtime to build them. I just received leadtime, a minimum of 10 weeks for 25 units.I am encouraged at the figures I have received and looks like a fair cost to re-instate this long obsolete gearbox.
This will most likely be a one time deal on this order of brand new units!
I will need to set up one of my distributors to sell the units at a predetermined price and location.
If we get at least the following committed orders, the price would be as follows: (PRICES ARE TENTATIVE AT THIS TIME)
25 ordered @ $442.00 each
35 ordered @ $414.00 each
50 ordered @ $400.00 each
All would be plus shipping cost from our yet to be determined location, possibly on the West coast, but may drop ship from South Dakota.
Let me know via email of any interest in this project and I will start compiling a list. I am sure my distributor will need a deposit or paid in full when time to order!

Good Luck, I hope this will benefit the Cub community.

Steve, count me in for one unit. :D Let us know when to make the order and when and how to send funds. Paypal works very well for me.
Thank you for pursuing this thru Hub City.

Steve will this include the mounting bracket, and if so will it be the steel type or the cast type?

Thanks Dave

For those that don't know, can you tell us what it is and what it is used for?

Also, will it be manufactured in the US?

Hey Steve. Please put me down for one also. This may be a one time deal, and I don't want to miss out on this opportunity.

Though trillions and trillions of eyes have been watching the skies for as long as human memory exists, no gods nor angels have been seen or documented outside of religion. The number of spaceships being sighted however has become much more prevalent.

Bringing this back to the top. I'm curious to know if this project was implemented, still in progress, not enough interest, or :?:

Is this project still ongoing? Did hub city ever start producing these gearboxes again?

Jerry:

It's been 5 years so I doubt it otherwise we probably would have heard.

I have searched :eBay: in the dismal hope that I might find something. Not expecting anything ... I was pleasantly surprised to find some information and possibly something that may be what is needed. Others will have to help with this to confirm these may actually be the proper ones for a Cub:

Not right for the cub. It has a smooth keyed shaft for the input and also a smooth keyed shaft for the output. The covers are the only thing that may cross over.
