Acually the ones you are referring to from Steiner are not the correct ones for that serial #, I also have a loyboy serial 16878 and the correct ones are oval in shape and say lo boy on them! I have not yet found any reproduction of these anywhere, although mine are not that bad I still would like to find new ones!

Hi All
Hope everyone is doing well. While on the subject of emblems, I was wondering how you restore the emblems on the tank/hood ? Mine is a 61 and they are in good shape, do you have someone with a steady hand paint these? (not me as far as the steady hands) . The plate is silver, Farmall is in black, but the word Mc cormick is in tiny red letters and look like they would be hard to paint , as they are also recessed. So I am sure someone can answer this qustion. THANK YOU !! Paul K in N.H.

Paul, restoring emblems is a slow, tedious task. Patience and a steady hand are what it takes. However, the results can be very rewarding!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

I spray the emblems using an air brush or spray paint can (depends on the surface area size that needs to be covered).
By wiping or rubbing off the excess paint from the raised metal areas (after it dries) you can eventually duplicate the factory paint job.
As Big Dog states, it's a slow and tediuos job, but with some patience and a ltitle bit of practice it looks great. I have repainted some IH metal emblems and had others say they can't tell the repaints from the originals. Good luck!!

I use the same technique Burmuda Ken does. Here's the emblem from Big Mike as it looked when I took it off.
It didn't make much sense to do it since reproductions are available, but that's how it goes when you accept a challenge.
Those emblems on the "new" Lo-Boy will be a piece of cake.

Not to worry Ralph, I have no need for those emblems. I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the auction.
Sorry John, they will not go on Missy. I have already used some left over B Farmall emblems on her....found some old "Minnie Mo" emblems that fit PERFECT on the hood, also
