rleggitt, Thank you for the tip. I will give it a try as soon as the rains stop. Sounds like that might work. The deck is 51 inches across from the tip of the skid plate to the other side. That doesn't give a lot of room. Thanks again, Bob

I use the same procedure as Mr. Leggitt, but turn the front wheels to the right instead. Getting it off is no sweat. Getting it on (positioned to bolt up) is a little trickier. Next time, I'll try turning the wheels to the left!

Thanks for the help Bill, I still haven't had a chance to try it. Bob

I drive onto my C-3 (60") deck with the fronts too. Don't need any lumber putting it on; but must use a couple of short pcs of 2x4 for 'ramps' to back up off it. I like the deck to stick out past the rubber on both sides to mow closer to stuff. I use a small hyd. floor jack to help position the two mower frame members with the brackets on the final drives. Mine being a Loboy, (shorter wheelbase), there is no way at all to wiggle the C3 in from either side.

Marion, Thanks for the reply and suggestion. Am I understanding correctly, that you drive forward and run over the deck itself? Then in reverse you use 2x4's to get back up onto the deck and back off the deck? Bob

I use the same technique as rleggit. Putting it on you put the two support brackets headed for the rear under first, tuck the right rear wheel right into the corner of the mower and the support bracket, and then, with the steering wheel cranked all the way left, swing the mower under the tractor. I have done it a dozen times. The hardest part is getting the pins or bolts into the bracket back by the draw bar. I have bolts that I double nut. Are these supposed to be some kind of pin?

Don't know about a C2, but on a Woods 42 there is a bushing that goes in the arms, and a standard bolt with flat and lock washer that goes through it.

I have used both techniques to put on my c-2 mower. But after killing myself dragging the mower around I also resorted to making a ramp and backing over the edge of the mower.

I drove over my disk plow to get it under the tractor. I put 2 by 6's down beside the disk plow at the highest point and this helped the front end make the clearance.

Thanks for the suggestion, Alabamacub. I still haven't had an opportunity to try any of the suggestions yet. I like the idea of ramps. I do think by looking at my deck, I could probably get by with going up on only one side of the deck if I cut my wheels. I'll just have to be careful not to go up on the edge of the support rail. Thanks again, Bob
