Postby Straylight » Wed Apr 07, 2004 3:21 pm

carb has IH stamped on it, looks like two places. Does this make it an IH carb or could it be another brand OEM'd for IH? I believe my cub is 1951

The gear is on the right rear wheel, inside side, appears to be a drive wheel of some sort.

Thanks

Straylight

Yes, you have an IH carb, IH brand appears on the throttle body and bowl castings. The other carburetor would be a Zenith.

The gear drives a planter.

Hi Straylight,

As Carl posted the gear attached to the right rear drive axle is what
drives ,via a square chain, the fertilizer distributor and the seed
planter. The gears a getting a little hard to come by in some parts
so you may want to hold onto it.
