international cub info.

i have a international cub, the tag that the serial # is on is gone, im looking to find the year of the cub. i have found out that tha block has a casting date on it somewhere,can somebody tell me where to look for it at on the block?

The casting date is on the block below the carb.

Harry,

You've posted the part number and the engine serial number on the other site. Now you want the one remaining number, the CASTING CODE, which will actually tell when your engine casting was made. Then we can help you.

His post on the other site did include the date code: 9 10 R.

The other numbers, cover the ambiguity of the year code, so this block was cast on September 10, 1970. The tractor, or at least the engine, is from late 1970.

You're right of course. The casting code blended right in with the part number to my old eyes and I didn't see it. Sorry for the confusion. :cry:

i wrote this then i found the other info & wrote it on the other page. when i found the # i kinda figured that it was a 1970 model thanks for confirming that i was right. im 90% sure that it is all original. i was like a little kid in a candy store when i found all of the info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ive got a big rebuild in for this cub. so i will be coming here for some info. im glad that i found this sight!!!! thank you harry

I didn't see it the first time I read it either. I noticed it as I was about to write a reply asking for it.
