Hydraulic by-pass block installation

Before I paint my cub I would like to install a by-pass block so I can later use it to angle my snow blade. I need the lift now to raise the mower deck. It looks like the block blocks off the flow of oil into the lift unit, do I need to run a hose to the bottom of the block to the output of the pump? Also can anyone give me some direction on a valve and cylinder. What I need and a good source. Thanks Ted

Everything worked out nicely. I now understand how the system works and feel confident I will be able to install a cylinder to angle my snow blade without getting off the cub. Ted

Ted:

If you would be so good as to document your project with pics and a narrative, I am sure many of our Cub Friends would like to see it. It would make a superb article for the Manual Server!

Keep us posted on how you fare....
