Question on a Cub Cub Cultivator

Hi All

I bought what I thought was a Cub Cultivator from a guy (it is in pieces) and I need to assemble it. I was checking Rudi's manuals, and to be honest, am now not sure what model I bought.

It has three large "triangular" tines, and two smaller trinagular tines, and then one "straight" tine that I assume goes in the middle.

Anyway know which model it is, and could send me a few assembled pictures? I would appreciate it, because it seems like I only have a heep of parts right now.

Thanks

David

David:

You may well have the 144. The 144 came with a number of optional setups. You could get the spring teeth, the spring feet and a few others.

Check the owners manuals again, and you may also want to check the CBI-1A which has a section on the 144 and is quite detailed.

Thanks Rudi

Yes. The 144 definitely looks a lot like it. It has the two rear gand beams and the tines that attach to these beams. I guess the smaller tines are for the front. Do you know of any links to good photos of these installed, especially the front?

Thanks

David:

Tried to respond last night but couldn't, lost my connection again.

The answer to that is no not really. The manual is pretty good, BUT you really have to pay attention to the details. Look at everything 2 and 3 times. I had to do that at least to get it set up right.

I have to put the cultivators on next week to make the horse hoe, so I will take pics as I mount it up.

Hope that will help

Tom has some good pictures on the TM Tractors site.

Rudi ---- I downloaded the 144 manual off your site this morning and printed it out. I was really please with the new formatting --- ie the whole manual in one html file, rather than a series of JPG's. It makes the download and print out a whole lot easier than individual files (especially when you have a broad band connection!). But I am sure if one is on dial-up, it would be a painful exercise. Thanks. David

Glad you like it. Hopefully as soon as is humanly possible with all the other stuff to do, I can have most of the server converted over soon.

Remember, when you go to put the cultivator together to look at the manual a lot. It is the only way that it makes sense. It is very easy to put parts on backwards.

Don't ask  :!:
