Oil filter question

Postby winrelic » Tue May 11, 2004 10:20 pm

What does Lubricating oil filter mean on a farmall cub?

I see that after every 120 hours of operation to take apart and clean lubricating oil filter.

How is the oil filter cleaned or changed?

Jeff

There is a replaceable cartridge inside the housing where the oil filter gauge is mounted. there is a bolt on top you unscrew that alows the cover to come off and the cartridge to be lifted out. There is also a pipe that extends down below it that lets you completely drain the housing.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

To expand on what John said, NEVER just "clean" the filter. Spend the $5 or $6 and replace it with a NEW one. It is much cheaper to buy a new engine oil filter and oil than a new engine.
