Another thought... The tube requires exactly the same tube as a proper fuel line... 5/16" by 20". Why not kill two birds with one stone and start with a 40" brake line? That way the first sharp bend can be made more easily before the line is cut.

George, right on the money (as always.)

That first bend is a doozy.
I always allow extra mateial on both ends.
Much easier to bend then cut than to have to do the task twice.

...another option would be to fill the end of the 5/16" steel tube with lead solder or other low melt alloy, create the bend, and melt the solder out of the tube.
