Genesee Electronic Ignition

Postby David » Sun Jun 20, 2004 9:18 pm

Anybody ever used the electronic ignition conversion?

Just wondering if it is worth spending the $$.

Thanks

David

I have never heard of it but it sounds interesting enough to do a search on for info.

It's been a while, but I rmember some posts about it on the ATIS board. You need 12 volt system, and conversion kit was aobut a hundred dollars. General opinion was that on a low rpm, low performance engine like a cub there wasn't much gain. Supposedly saved on replacing points, but the points on my 48 work tractor have only had to be replaced once in 17 years.
