Countershaft bevel pinion question

Postby hitman » Sun Jul 04, 2004 4:34 pm

On my 49 cub I am replacing the bearings. I noticed when I pulled the countershaft out the bevel pionion that contacts the differential has one gear that is not broken but chewed up a little bit. WIll this hurt to resuse. A Case dealer told me that if I go replacing it that it will probably be noisy since it and the differential have already established a "wear pattern"
