Dan,
I once had a cam shaft break on an engine. That's why I asked, just to make sure you had movement in the valves. I suspect you have a coil going out on the mag. I have a J 4 mag with a dead coil, thinking about fixing it up for the 49. Wish you would have brought it down, we could have refurbed it per the article on Rudi's site. And now the tractor in the shed belongs to you eh? Going to put it together? I now know how Bigdog feels. I know where it's at, I have a trailer and I have the time. Only thing that concerns me is that bobcat I saw last time. :lol: :lol:

Harold: The bobcat is my trained attact dog!!! I have never lost a tractor nor an implement after the cat took up residence in the tractor shed. I may have to make another trip to Monroe if I can't get the starting problem worked out. Dan
