1000 loader new pick up

Postby daddydip » Fri Apr 24, 2009 7:46 pm

i have to tell you guys just how good this forum is, i followed a post on the vine about this loader that is probably less than 50 miles from me so i contacted the fellow to go and have a look and this is what i found.ImageImageImageImageImage
well i explained to the gentleman what would be needed to get this back in operating condition and we agreed on a price of $750.00 which i felt was fair so there you have it, i've got an even better reason to get to work on the lo boy now. :big afro:

Good deal. Everything looks to be in decent shape except for the bucket. With some flat plate and a welder, you could have that back together in no time! Good luck and have fun!

Now that the low boys covered it leaves a need for another homeless cub Mike...
Good find, I've never seen one in person myself.

In case you're not aware of it, the server has both the manual and the parts list on it. I leave on Tuesday to pick mine up. Maybe we should start a 1000 club. :D

Michael, Maybe you should bring that bucket to the Bash along with the flat steel needed to straighten it out. We will have a welder here (no torches yet) maybe we can help you along, or swap Bob's bucket on to it when he's busy eating cake.

We are still looking for a rep from the great state of Pennsylvania.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Did you get the bypass block and the hoses that go to it? Also there is a 'big' return line that goes from the base to the TC fill (with a nipple into where the plug should go).

Nice buy.

So there is a 1000 club?? I'm in. Even have a substantial fast hitch weight for this one.

Glad to see you got him down to a reasonable price. I guess the "guy from Canada" couldn't come up with the two grand.

larry he had it on a 140 so i'll be looking for some of the things that i'll need to convert to the ih cub, on the vine it was mentioned that he thought that it wouldn't fit a cub. as rjmac mentioned the manual on the server has the instructions on how to install on a 140 or a cub.the bypass block i hope is the one i saw listed with one of our sponsors.
barnyard if i thought i wasn't coming to ohio before, this purchase has really narrowed my options.
larry i guess i'll be selling the 42 mower i have for the lo boy and be looking at a fast hitch mott mower i'm aware of.i'll also have to be entering into that discussion on installing the fast hitch with the loader if i don't want this to be a one implement tractor. i guess i'm at the right place to get this sorted out :big smile:

Michael, when I was looking at the manual on installation, it looked that it came set up for the Cub, and if you were going to mount it on the 140, you had to cut a triangular piece out of the front mount for clearance. I may be wrong, but it may just bolt up without any problem.

bob i saw that also, it states that if you have the heavy duty front axle it has to be notched.it looks like he didn't.
