my mount did not come with the same bracket as Bigdog's, and the mounting instruction picture showed it like his is done, so here was my solution.

The battery box is imported from Sussex, NB. works perfect, thanks, Rudi and David

artc,

I bought the universal bracket. I mounted the main tube bracket using one of the bolts on the manual lift lever. One of support rods I mounted to the rear light bracket on the back of the battery box using one of its bolts. The other support rod I bolted to the transmission cover I believe using the back left side cover bolt. I don't have my Cub here but I think that's right. The support rods won't line up the way they come. You will have to bend the end with the bolt hole to match the angle you need. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Always try the easiest thing first.

Dave:

On the battery box check out Chown Tractor Parts.

These are custom fabricated and of pretty high quality ifn I do say so meself. The preliminary pre-production battery box Rudi's battery Box will give you an idea of how they are constructed. I think Dave will have pics up very, very shortly.

HI Dave

I got my battrery box from http://www.oem tractor parts.com. However I think a friend of Rudis is making them custom in Canada. I know some of the artermarket one are made offshore and are half the quality and half the price. Lets see who else post. Paul K. in N.H.
