1969 cub starts either way BAT is connected

I am a new member here,but I've owned 2 cubs for about 4 years now.My question is that my 1969 cub will start either way the battery is connected...+ or - . I only have battery power when running because I removed the generator which was not working.This seemed really strange?? :? [/i]

That's normal. A starter will spin the same way no matter which way the battery is connected.

Thanks,and now that I've found this site,I'm sure I'll have lots more questions to ask.Ill try to surf through the rest of the forum to get some of them answered though. Be good!
