oil leak

My 52 cub has an oil leak on the right front behind the lower water outlet.
Can this be fixed without a new block. Someone has daubed something on it before i got it. Please help!!

You have a cracked block. Probably 50% of the Cubs out there are cracked in that same area including my 48 which was welded before I got it.
