You can use NAPA for common bearings, seals, ignition components, gaskets and some engine overhaul parts. The other things you list such as air cleaner parts etc. can be obtained from the parts suppliers who adveritse on this site. (J.P., T.M. & Chown) New parts from IH or Carter & Gruenewald online.

Is it kosher?

Postby allenlook » Thu Aug 12, 2004 7:16 pm

So, is it kosher to post a need for parts on the list, or should I contact each of the parts vendors through their websites, or by private messages?

Allen, I would either use the classifieds or contact the vendors by e-mail. The for sale / wanted board was added for just such purposes.

Allen:

,

It is kosher to post a wanted ad in the For Sale/Wanted Forum of this site, which may or may not be answered by these used parts vendors. The nice thing about the For Sale/Wanted Forum, is that any of us Cubbers who have what you are looking for may contact you and both parties can dicker/swap or whatever.

or should I contact each of the parts vendors through their websites, or by private messages?

Most definitely you should conduct business with these sponsors/vendors off Forum by either visiting their home pages -
JP Tractor Salvage
Chown Tractor Parts
TM Tractor Parts

or by any of the other means shown on their webpages.

Hope this helps

Gotcha!

OK, I'll put my needs on the For Sale/Wanted list. I got in the habit of clicking on Farmall Cub so quickly that I forgot what other lists were further down!
