From looking at the pictures of "short" and "long" hood supports on tmtractor.com, I thought I could see a distinct difference in HEIGHT. Otherwise, I couldn't see any difference.
The doglegs you show are the ones on my tractor.
So the mystery as to why my doglegs don't reach down far enough remains...
