Hole in my Manifold!

Well, aside from my electrical problems and carb problems I did manage to get Henry running again. While adjusting my carb though, I felt hot air on the top of my hand. I looked inside to find a 1/8" hole in the exhaust manifold.

I doubt this will hold because of the temperature but I had some JB Weld on hand and packed it tight. Should I just save myself the effort and go buy some muffler epoxy?

Suggestions?

I think you just plugged the weep hole that drains condensation / rain water etc. from the manifold.

Scotty,

Unless your manifold has two holes, it's supposed to be there. It is intended to be a drain hole for rain water.

Well that's embarassing!!

It wasn't a perfectly round hole so I assumed it didn't belong there. Well, that's what drills are made for!!

Sorry to be such an amateur in this thing!

Have you ever tried silver solder? Someone told me that castings can be repaired this way non-structurally, and it looks easy enough to do myself... Even though you don't need it here, I'd like some feedback on how useful it is...
