HI All
I mentioned to my nephew about welding three different things onto tank/hood, and he said he would purg the tank. I thought he ment with inert gas as stated above, maybe Argon. I was going to have him weld a hood clip that bolts to the radiator side that supports the hood, as Mr. Becker pointed out to me I was missing mounths ago ,as well as someone recently. Thats why the dog leg bolts all shear off. He was also going to weld nuts on tank flange that the dash bolts thread into and nuts under hood for the top dogleg bolts, only one left out of four. With the inert gas will we be safe, not worth doing if safety is an issue. As stated above could just reach in each time and bolt the stuff on, except that hood support bracket. Paul K. in N.H.
