Well, Let me first say that I Did Not have to overhaul the 300 at all. You know LP Gas burns so clean that it hardly leaves a trace behind. I did a lot of work to that tractor for just burt points. It had sat for about 16 years before I pulled it out of the shed and got her running. But It took about 40 hours worth of work and about $800 to get it running. The book I believe said they tested out at around 40 hp new back in the 50's but not sure right now, Me and my buddy that worked on it are both tractor junky's. He has 4 farmalls now and I have 6 as of right now. But anyway I believe we got about 34 - 38 horse out of it, which is pretty good for a 50 year old tractor with a rich history.
I also failed to mention I bought a new farmall, A DX 33. It is not here at the moment but when it gets here, a Cub or two will have to be put away in storage but I am not selling, I have to much time and money in them to sell them, I will still use them in the garden and for landscaping but thay won't be used as hard as I have been using them since the tractor I bout 2 years ago needs a ring job already from over heating a bit.
But anyway you all keep safe and Those in the south I wish you all the best of luck and prayers are with you.
