I also spoke to the owner of 542 at Cubarama.
But there is still no picture of it to be found. If I were to see it I would surely make a picture of it. Maybe I have the 501 Cub since mine has no serial tag on it. Or maybe 502!!!! My Cub is like The ax I have that George Washington used to chop down the Cherry tree. Its all original except for the handle and the head.

That's funny Jim sounds like my 55 At least I have a picture of my 55, unlike 501. I think 501 is a "Rural Legend"
Jim, that automatically appears when you reach your 500th post.
You don't talk too much compared to some I like the 501 tag myself and besides it's the only picture of 501 we're ever going to see.
Wear that tag with pride!!!!!

You only have 8 years on me. But it will take a few more years for my number of posts to catch up with my birth year.
Isn't it funny how some threads deteriorate to this I get bored sometimes and use this board to alleviate my boredom (better than TV). I'm glad Dennis allows us this perk
Cub 501 will be at the IHCC Winter Convention.
It was at our state IH show this summer in Burnett Corners, Wisconsin.
30 + tractors including 2 French Super Cubs, French Cubs, 1963 Industrial Cub, 1955 Cub Highcrop etc...German and French built IH tractors and some bigger IH tractors. Of course I have about 20 IH trucks and an IH refridge in the Shop.
