Fast hitch hookup

Postby Bob McCarty » Sun Oct 10, 2004 5:44 pm

I recently got a fast hitch with several pallets of plows, cultivators, sickle bar mowers, etc., but don't have any installation info. Rudi's manual is a supplement. I'm not sure how much to take it apart to bolt on. Also, was there a different style fast hitch for the Lo-Boys? I have a 50 cub that I want to put it on. Thanks in advance.

Hi rjmac,

Sounds like you are onto something there. I just took a fast-hitch off my
'67 painted and put onto my '52. You may want to go to the post entitled
"we are live" page 4 and click on Russ's scooper picture and pay "c-l-o-s-e" attention to how the rear rims are mounted to the centers. You will notice that the rims are mounted on the widest position on the centers.
If the wheels are not far enough apart you will have extreme difficulty
getting the hitch mounted. However, with the rims mounted in this fashion
you can slide the fasthitch under the tractor and simply lift into position.

There is also another picture of my '52 that shows the rear.

The referenced subject can be found on page 4 or you can simply do a
search on the entitled subject.

Let us hear how this works out for you.
