I was recently removing the manifold and pipe from our 49, I did not want to disrupt the paint around the opening in the sheet metal ,toilet paper tube between the pipe and the hole worked great to protect the paint from chipping.

I like the idea....we should keep the thread going and come up with everything we can do with TP the roll and packaging....Its my favorite product....no additives or artificial coloring.

But won't you get oil all over everything? Oh, I guess you shouldn't use one of the ones you already used as an oil filter?
