leaf mulcher cub

I cleared land for my house when i built it a few years ago. as you can see by the trees, i have substantial cleanup to do in the fall, especially out back.



using a combined effort of old and new technology, the clean-up was effortless. David has a Toro zero turn with a powered rear bagger. it fills up too fast and the mower deck won't accept 6" of leaves, it just plows them along. same problem i had with my 129 cub cadet.

but that C3, in 1st gear, engine to full, did an awesome job of grinding and mowing at the same time. then the zero turn vaccuumed and dumped everything out back.

an hour on the cub, and perhaps 2 hours with the leaf blower and the Z turn. Done. have to do a final cleanup in a week or two, but the majority is done.

and seat time for the cub as Rudi would say, priceless

Is that the "Preditor" standing behind the basketball goal? Must be in the employ of Bigdog. What better way to spot cubs than to just blend in to the surroundings. Thank goodness we have plenty of mud around today!

yup, you got that right and if that isn't enough fun, while i was in search of a larger tractor for drawbar duty, i located a W4 at a decent price in partial dissassembly. since i already had the W6 deal, David (son, partial to cub cadets, 14 at last count) spoke up for it he just couldn't take it any longer
means we have another winter project in the works! ain't that awful

oh yea, don't that picture remindyou of EVERY UFO picture ever? i made it fuzzy to confuse the CUB Visual Flight LOCATOR

The dang framistat must be gettin' outta calibration again. Must be the interference from the dynamic flux capacitor tuning circuit. Gonna upgrade to "FCUB 2.0" (Farmall Cub Uncovering Beacon) It has that new Lo-boy option.

Art. Nice place!! I did the same thing 5 years ago (cleared land and new house). Still taking trees out every once in a while . Keep expanding the lawn! I guess when I get too old, the lawn will start shrinking again Your right with the leaves. They must come off before the snow. Doesn't do the grass good leaving them on.............
