If it were closer I would go. I talked to Darrell Darst at the Cubarama about this auction and it sounded like it would be very good.

John, There is an antique tractor auction about 5 miles from me Saturday. I expect between 50 and 100 tractors plus parts and implements. All brands. I guess I know where I'll be.

I think someone from here is going. Most likely JP (as deer season opens Saturday also and I know where John jr will be  ) Darrell is really great and comes down to Cub-Arama every year, I am sure it will be a great auction

Hummmm,

That's only about 70 miles away from me. Where's it at in Troy, John-CUB?

At the fair grounds on HWY 47 just west of Troy. Here's a link to the auctioneer's listing.

I will be going along with Neal Stone and Louie Schema.
Heading out wednesday afternoon.......stopping at Darryl Darst's on Thursday morning for a tour...............then down to JPs for a look around without any Cub guys lurking in the weeds...............then back north for the Friday night auction and Saturdays Auction. I am going to bring a German built D-219 2 cyl diesel McCormick for the sale.

Should be a good time.

IH 2 bottom plow for Farmall B

I thought the Farmall B was rated for a SINGLE bottom 14" or 16" plow. :?

I am looking for a pull-type plow on steel or rubber to complement my '45 B. If the above is correct, then all I have been told and read is incorrect and I can broaden my options, right :?:

Cub Bud,
If a C can pull 2 bottoms why couldn't a B?

Mike,

Looks like I can start looking for a two-bottom plow...question is...how big can the bottoms be :?:

1 16" for the B vs. 2 12" for the C. The slightly tweaked engine and taller tires might make that much difference.

Of course the big thing is ....What kind of soil do you have?
