John:

Jim is correct. Tom at TM Tractor should have them. Also John at JP Tractor Salvage and David at Chown Tractor Parts probably does as well.

Here is a pic of the off-set rockshaft lift arm:

Tom, John or David will know whether you need the straight or the offset.

Your cub would use the straight rod. The offset one was to clear the wide ears of the dash on the ealier models.

John:

So the 1947, 48 and 49 would probably use the offset rod correct?

And is the rod for the hand lift the same as the rod for the touch control?

Your dash could have been changed to either style. Which is like yours?

Jim:

Both Granny and Ellie have the long ears, so they need the off-set rod... got it :!:  :!:  :D

Rudi: I have a cub with long ears and hand lift. It has the offset rod so I believe the rod type matches the ears, whether with hand lift or hydraulics. Dan

The rear rockshaft on one of my cubs is one of those converted from the hand lift. The connector rods to the front rockshaft are the same as Dan stated.

I don't have the numbers to match, but have compared the offset rock shaft rod and the hand lift rod, and couldn't see any difference.

Hand lift or Touch Control, the rods are the same. Only difference it the straight vs. the one with the bend. I haven't seen any problem using the one with the bend on later tractors.

I have a rockshaft and rod for a cub. The rockshaft is in good condition but the rod has been cut and welded for some reason. I have no idea how much it is worth. I live in mddle Tennessee. I also have an extra PTO shaft and colar for sale.[/b]
