Hi guys, sorry I kind of fell off the face of the earth for awhile but I'm back up for air, and need a little help with a question.
I have a '58 cub Lo-Boy that is (over)due for its second restoration. I have been collecting replacement and restoration parts for the last couple of years planning to do a more proper restoration.
The prior owner did a half hearted restoration by sand blasting the tractor and repainting. He must have been overeager to get going with that blaster as he blasted right over the unprotected gauges and Serial number plate.
Thanks to the folks at TM tractor parts I have new gauges among many boxes of new emblems and other assorted parts waiting for a restoration.
I also want to replace the serial # tag as that would really set it off. The tractors true number is thankfully still readable being a low 4 digit '58 Lo-Boy #.
Ok heres where I get to my question.
The replacement tags come blank. My serial will read " J 68**" and that I'll try to punch in as correctly as I can. I think the idle # is 1900 (?) but the big question is how should the model read?
On the regular cubs it says "F Cub" and appears printed on instead of being stamped. What would it be for my Lo-Boy?
Am I over thinking this, should it just be "Lo-Boy"? Or "International Cub Lo-Boy"?
Anyone have a picture I can copy from?
Any gifted person out there that can reproduce this info for me onto a tag as well as the factory did it?
Thanks in advance, Mike.
Ok, I'm either tired or blind as I found the pic I need on TM's site.
But now theres another problem as this is the one from ebay thats available.
Anyone know where i can get the two line plate...and with a little luck the IH Lo-Boy printed on it like the one above?
