Kelley, the first thing you need to do is give it a good whack somewhere with a tire iron. Once it has it's first scar, you won't mind using it so much. Very nice work, by the way.

Excellent job! Well thought out and executed! :{_}:

We'll be looking for pictures in your next post of the "Cub train" with tractor, trailer, and wood splitter in tow. Also would be interested in you posting your next project...

Thanks for sharing.

Kelly, that looks great! I like the idea of the rear hitch for the splitter. But it wouldn't work at my place...too hilly to pull a load of wood and a splitter uphill with ole Corky's Cub!

Maybe with a little smaller trailer.....hmmmmm!
I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Yikes Gary, I don't remember seeing any whack scar's on Cubota :D or maybe you just feel like hitting something this morning(watch out Regina  )

Are you going to paint or stain the wood? I really like your trailer.

What a nice trailer! The width is 50", what is the length? You really proportioned the frame and sides well.

The bed is 6' even.. I don't intend to do anything to the wood, (one of the reasons I went with treated) It'll be stored inside so weather really wont' be a factor. Paint would just get knocked off and stain just doesn't appeal to me anyway. I sat and looked at it today... Looked at teh trailer, looked at the chainsaw.... back at the trailer, back at the chainsaw... couldn't bring myself to use it today. I told myself that I should let the paint really cure before I do... meanwhile, perhaps I"ll use my 8N ford and its carrier.... or, perhaps I should build another trailer to haul wood with... what a vicious circle I'm caught in!.
I've never met a tractor I didn't like....but I have found some that were greatly annoying....

Kelley,

If you build another one...build two. I'll pick it up at Bigdog's. :D

That's a really cool trailer, really nice details, I like the chains for the tailgate, and the angled side rails, great for taking the kids for a ride.
