You worry me Brent. I have never seen those adds on here. They may be installed on your computer. There are a lot of sights that try to install popup adds on your pc that may show up anywhere. If you keep seeing them you may need to download a program like adaware or malbytes to clean up your pc.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Brent,
I did see something similar to this once yesterday. But I think the Moderators promptly eradicate them for us.

What you are seeing is your recent searches on google. Like I am looking into building a feence and I see fencing at the top of my pages. So evidently you must search google for summit and chevy.

I have never seen pop-ups here. You made your first mistake by buying NORTON. I ran it for a while even paid for it and had to delete in the middle of my subscription because of problems with it slowing and locking my machine. I switched to SPYWARE DOCTOR and have not had a problem since. This is just my opinion and what I have observed.

I looked in to this further and this is what i came up with.

Ads by Google appear throughout the web on sites that use Google's AdSense program to show ads. Sometimes the ads we show you are based on the content of the page you are viewing. Other times, the ads are intended to reflect your interests which are based on the content of the webpages from participating websites that you've previously visited.

All i did was click the ads by google icon at the top of the page.

OK, I think I figured it out,
If you are logged in you do not see the ads for Chevy or whatever, only words such as Google, farmall cub, Tractor etc.
If you are NOT logged in the ads show.
Maybe someone can send an email to Dennis and ask him about the ads, JMO.

Those ads provide financial support to the site. Dennis keeps them as unobtrusive as possible. I believe we can tolerate this minimal intrusion to keep this site free for all the users.

The ad I'm getting is for Pizza hut???
I haven't ever googled pizza anything.
Though I have been checking ebay for tires, maybe Google's AdSense has reasoned that they'd help me with my "spare tire".
Come to think of it... they wouldn't be entirely wrong.
