BIG Snow a-Comin'

Postby Stanton » Mon Jan 31, 2011 7:57 am

Big snow storm forecasted for tonight thru Wednesday AM. Looks like it'll extend to the Ohio River valley and points eastward.

Hope you all have your Cubs ready to push some more snow. :D :D

They're forecasting 10"-13" for the KC area. Probably be takin' a snow day tomorrow... maybe Wednesday

Y'all be safe out there!!

We're looking at possible sleet, freezing rain, rain, snow and whatever. Snow I can deal with. It's hard to plow freezing rain and ice. :(

I think my "new" homemade ash spreader will get put to use with this storm.

Nice spreader!

There are winters with so little snow that no plowing was needed.... I plowed 3 days in a row last week (including 2" of sleet under 6" of snow). Two car driveway is going to be a 1 car drive soon!

The great white north, my area anyway has had a pretty mild winter so far with little snow but the icey
blast has hit now minus 20c, almost to cold to sit on a Cub. :?
Good thing no snow in the forcast for here. burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

We are going to get nothing but rain. Wish i could afford to take a trip north and help with the plowing. I like plowing.

I think we are bound to get 1-2" of ice. About 60mi north, they are supposed to get 15-20" of snow.

Dave, does that have an agitator in it to keep the ashes loosened up?

They were predicting a bad storm here, but I think most of it is going to pass north of us.

Yes, a manually operated one, made out of PVC pipe...just give it a twist when the ashes stop.

Here in Indy, the ICE started around 5:30 pm. Still coming down. I would take snow anytime over this. I have the wood box full in case of loosing power.

Supposed to get up to 18" here. I went out tonight after work and pushed back the snow as far as I could to make room for more snow.
