Sounds like some folks are going to get some quality seat time and lots of it. We might get just 3 to 6 inches, so not a big problem for us.

The weather service says the worst of the storm in Kansas will be centered right here in Cubfest land. Hope they are wrong again.
They are saying starting after midnight a inch per hour till Wednesday morning.

WE are right on the what if line here. If it tracks inland we get Ice and rain and if it goes further out on the coast a bit of snow is forecast. Either way with the cold temps and existing 14-16" it won't be pretty .

Missouri Governor put the National Guard on alert this afternoon. So far just a bit of freezing rain this morning. Then it warmed up a bit and accumulated ice melted off.

We received a telpehone call from the local 911/Emergency Services telling everyone to get off the roads and stay home Tuesday and Wednesday.

Just in case the forcast is correct and we get the 12 plus inches of snow, I moved the pickup of the street parking so the city could clear the parking when they cleared the streets.
I have an excuse. CRS.

They calling for quite a bit here in central IL 6 to 12". I know at mom and dads they are calling for 12 to 18", I have never pushed that much snow with a Cub before. Here in Central IL we are getting hit hard with ice pellets. School is called for tomorrow and so I may get some good seat time pushing a little bit of Ice.

so far just very light ice on the tree leaves and on elevated walkways, but tomorrow they are calling for 1+ inches of ice followed by 2 to 4 inches of snow. as you go north the ice becomes less and the snow more, buy the time it gets as far as St. Louis, about 70 miles north, they are calling for up to 12 to 14 inches of snow.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Depending on who you listen to, here in NE Illinois, we're scheduled to get anywhere from 10 to 20 inches. With a 240 foot driveway, even 10 inches (unless very powdery) is usually too much for Eddie to move. Looks like I'll be spending time walking behind the thrower instead of sitting down like a civilized person.

They are calling for 9" to 14" inches here. Cubs down due to a bad starter but I know it would push it. Looks like I will have to sit in the heated cab of the 90hp Cub-boata to plow my dinky drive. At least I remembered I had a back blade and put in on last nite. Oh well have to plow out the neighbors for more seat time.

WE have at least a 1/2 of ice over everything. At this hr no POWER OUTAGES. Roads at least in front of the house here are slushy at best. Traffic is slow and thats a good thing. I think some of today's drivers are finally getting it and learning they have to slow down a bit.

Just as long as the cold temps don't head down to SNEADS in a couple of weeks, I'll be happy. Also hoping that the flights will be running when I head out of town that week... Can't wait to get away from snow for a little while!!

several inches of ice, and more to come with snow later, here. work FINALLY shut down at 230. Rest of town was closed long before noon. Government offices knew last night. Probably be off tomorrow. :) Kids at home from school today and tomorrow.

4 inches of dry powdery snow, today.. Supposed to be ice and rain, tomorrow. Since I have little faith, in weather forecasters, I'll wait and see. Ed
