Just a thought for Father's Day...You may want to consider gettin' him one of those Yellow & White Cub toy tractors by Ertl. They're really a nice way of sayin' "Hey Dad...I'm proud of the job you did on your Cub"!

That's a good idea Country. It would go nice with his '40 Ford and '61 Chevy. I forget who makes them, but they are very nicely detailed metal models. Looks good on the mantel. Got an "A" model Ford up there too.

A bit of an update. Dad's got his tractor running again. To my surprise, he re-used the old wiring harness, but virtually restoring it. He even found the looming material to cover it all. All lights work, bright, dim, rear work light, flasher, et al. I gave him the stuff I got from TSC, points, rotor, cap, plugs...muffler, it runs like new. Idles at a couple hundred rpm, smooth as a gravy sandwich.  Got to order decals and waiting for tires. Almost done. An odd thing with the tractor though, I thought that push button starter he has on the dash wasn't original....seems it is. Didn't know they used those.

My 71 is a push button start. With a key.

Nice to hear she is up and running! I have a long way to go before I can say that.

Here a unique Cub toy, never seen it with a bear at the wheel:

Buzzardwing's post of Lowell Davis' Foxfire Farm "Cub" with the cub bear was exactly what I was thinking of for your Dad. They are fairly reasonable on Ebay (search "Lowell Davis"...and "Foxfire Farm").

My Son Chris gave me one (although I don't own a yellow & white Cub) for Father's Day one year. I'm looking at it, as I write this, on the shelf above my computer in my office. It's along side of my Louisville Cub Bear statues, Cub Cadet statue & my Ertl 1st edition 1989 red Cub tiecast. Right next to the Cub bear on the yellow & white Cub is Chris' photo...so I have lots of HAPPY reminders! :D

Hey Country, where do you keep that coveted cub pinback button that reads, "Farmall Cub A Bear For Work" :?:

I have seen those rarities go for $100.00 + on ebay. I hope to get lucky and find one those one day.
