How to Replace Carburator Inlet Screen

Postby hope farmer » Sat Mar 26, 2011 10:08 am

Working on an IH carb from a 52 Cub and was wondering about the recommended way of replacing the inlet screen. What's the least destructive way to remove the old screen and install a new one?
Thanks.
So many tractors, so little time.

Push the old one out from the inside of the fuel inlet with the short end of a small Allen wrench. Then, push the new one in with the eraser end of a pencil.

Whoops, forgot to tell you to remove the needle and seat first. :D
