Belly Mount Disc Plow

Postby Buggyscott » Sat Jan 08, 2005 7:48 am

Its almost time for the Mrs to put in a few winter vegtables and My Missy is being called on to do the plowing. Have a belly mount disc plow for her but have never put it on. Looks simple, but to eliminate the trial and error, which holes on the final drive is it bolted to? Any other advise is both needed and wanted. Thanks.

You might try the manual on Rudi's site. I think there's some info and a picture or two.

Here is a link to my picture trail account where I have a few photos of my plow mounted after its fresh paint job. Rudi's manual helped me out, but I learn more visually with somethings so I hope these help. Please ask questions if you get stuck. http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=5058328&uid=2547102&members=1

I hate showoffs  the only vegetable we could raise here would be pre-frozen.

Andy:

That Broom setup looks neat! I have a feeling that there are not too many of them left around. Nice restoration project. Can you get good photos of the decals? They would be nice to have on the server in case anyone else gets lucky and finds a setup like that.

Btw, Snappy really looks good and so does that Cub-152 :!: :D

Thanks guys, but still have problems. Having problems reading Rudi's manual, as luck would have it the part I need had problems on the scanner it appears. Farmallcub49, great looking job however the mounting end of my plow looks different from yours, my cross brace on the a frame is not bolted and only have one bolt hole each side, sure looks like it was factory done (or it was done by one good welder). Are there several models of belly mount disc plows out there? Sure seems to be several models of most everything else.

Rudi, I need where it shows how to hook the end of the a frame to the final drive housing. It was blurred on the website. Glad your back.

Buggy,

Do you have any pictures of yours you could post or email me. I am more of a visual learner? I have an original manual for the plow. What page do you need; if Rudi can't help you (which I doubt)? Better yet trailer your Cub up and bring it over and I'll help. Even Better than that, buy me a plane ticket and I'll be gone tomorrow :D
