I also have the combo light on Ellie. Granny just has a headlight facing backwards. I am not sure that I will ever be able to find a real Combo Light. I do know where there are a couple of parts to a Combo Light, and the Bullet is still available :!: .... now ifn I can just remember where Alton told me I could get them  :?: ......

Geez, a forgetful mind is a hard thing to accept

Rudi,

I have a bullet light on my bench that I'm planning to add to a headlight to make a fake combo. It's chrome plated so it will have to be sandblasted before painting. I think it was intended to go on a Harley? It will look close, but not quite original.

George:

I know this is not the info Alton gave me, but the bullet lights that get mounted on trucks and such, they seem real close as well. Might they not work for a reproduction style setup?

Yo's Dad wrote:If anyone is trying to figure out the years that the combo light was offered, I have one on my 51 and I do know it is all original.

"This light was authorized in March 1948 and probably was available as an accessory from the dealers shortly thereafter. Eventually, this light could be ordered from the factory, installed on a tractor. It was not listed as an option in sales brochures as late as 1950, but was listed in 1951. By the beginning of 1952, this light was replaced by the version with the red tail lamp set in the reflector of the rear work light."
