Help Identifying Part?

Postby Bigschuss » Sat Jan 15, 2005 5:44 pm

Can somebody identify the purpose of this part? My newest '58 Cub came with a large wooden box full of spare parts, bolts, and manuals. I've identified most of it, but I can't seem to figure out what this is for. The tractor came with a fast-hitch Mott mower, moldboard plow, disc harrows, and 54A grader blade.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like thie pin in the top lift arm for the fast hitch. The one the diagonal link attaches to.

Thanks Rondell. I see it on my fast hitch. There is a shorter pin in there now than the one found in the box.

Mike,

Now every time I pass a Cub on the side of the road I check to see if it has a tach. No, the box had just a bunch of spare parts, random bolts, sickle bar knife sections, spare filters and seals, pto pulleys with the splines wore off, and just a bunch of random Cub, LowBoy, and 140 manuals (which I will be putting on Ebay tomorrow).

With the cash I got for that Tach and the other spare parts, I made enough to look for an IHC M1 Garand. Ironically, the guy who bought the tach also just bought 3 such garands from an estate, two of which were all matching (if there was an emoticon showing a face with drool coming out of its mouth I would insert it here).

So, in one pocket...and out the other.

Blair
