OEM Tractor

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Sun Jan 16, 2005 11:22 pm

I know I was not happy with the cub items I have ordered over the last few months from OEM, but I see the guys at redpowermagazine.com don't seem to happy either..

I, too, have had a couple of issues with their service and products. They shipped bulbs un-protected that got broken and I had problems with the rivets for the SN tag I ordered from them (too big). I was going to order a battery box for my '45 B Farmall from them, but, now I am wondering if I should. I am pleased with the guages I have gotten from them.

Parts availibilty (or lack of) is their main problem. Why should you have to wait 6 months plus to get a gauge??

OEM is having some problems for sure

I've had similar troubles but have talked to Chuck Stevens there and he has always got things straightened out...But It took alot of extra time. I like what they are doing, or trying to do, for IH collectors and I hope they will be able to continue in business, but they need to make some changes to keep things on track. Like my daddy taught me.."If you don't have time to do it right the first time...When in the h--- are you gonna have the time to do it over?"

I have not given up on them yet

No wonder my NOS one sold so quickly at RPRU.. Now I wish I wouldn't have put the other NOS ones on my Super AV & Super C!!! Honestly I won't use the repro gauges on my tractors, as I have had nothing but bad luck with the 2 that I have tried, and I can find the NOS gauges if I look hard enough...

I see OEM is responding to the complaints on redpowermagazine.com amd appears to be trying to correct some of them. If you do any business with them or are considering it you may want to keep an eye on the above thread.
