The additional bracing I was thinking about comes in the form of at least one 4x4 sitting on two 3 ton jack stands and bracing under the bell housing near where the implement bolts are. I would think a 4x4 would be able to stand the strain, especially if part of the weight were supported by the chain hoist.

Please make sure you use something that will support the weight if the tractor ends up not being supported by the chain hoist. That way, a signficant failure in your chain hoist or whatever is holding it up will be rendered insignificant by your substantial bracing below.

The 4x4 will hold the weight over a given span, somewhere from zero to ?, given that it's not having to "catch" the tractor being dropped from a significant height due to hoist failure, etc.
