pto question

My number three cub ( which has turned out to be a number two!! ) has about 1/8" forward/ aft play in the shaft. I do not believe the other two do not have this much play as I use them for a mower and pto pump in the punkin patch. I am sorta familiar with the inards, but does this much play seem excessive? Thanks
