Oil Seal #

Postby Maritimer » Thu Feb 03, 2005 9:36 pm

Hi all,I'm putting a new oil seal on the steering shaft. I looked up the part # in the parts manual on Rudi's site, it say's I need # 350 892 R91. The list on the FAQ sheet say's part # is 385 703 r92, and the original seal that I took out of it is # 358 837 R91. Does anyone know which # I need for the seal? I'm going to use either the CR brand or a National.

Yes I Seen that on the FAQ list. That Part # that matches up with cr 8677 is 385 703 R92. The # that came out of mine is 358 837 R91. Will this matter at all? Donny, did you use CR 8677? Was it a good fit? Did anyone else put in a new steering shaft oil seal?

My version of the parts catalog, TC-37F, says the part number is 385703R91, which will sub to 385703R92.

Yes I did use the CR8677 it fits well and so far no leaks. It's got a nice red coat on it now or I'd take a picture  8)
