Cecil's 1952 Cub

Postby Cecil E Monson » Wed Feb 09, 2005 12:10 pm

This is the second Cub to follow me home and came from between Cary and Greensboro, NC. It was the first tractor hauled in my new IHC red cargo trailer. No decals as yet except the one on the front. http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=4021493&a=31633481&p=70962891

I must have done something wrong as the photo doesn't come up on my screen. Just the URL. Maybe someone can tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

Cecil - Epson photo does not permit direct links to photos on their site. In order for the image tags to work the file extension must end in a photo compatible format such as jpg.

If you place the address between url tags rather than img tags you will at least get a clickable image link to your photo.

Thanks Big Dog and Bronson. The arms coming off the front of the tractor are cultivator arms that I had not removed as yet. I had the cultivators painted along with the tractor. The topmost arm attaches to the hydraulic lift lever to lift and lower.

I'll try to remember to use the URL links next time instead of the img links. Thanks.

He applied them with dielectric grease. They grow them in the part of North carolina he got the Cub.

Well, Donny and BeaconLight, I found the holes laying in the parking lot of a Tractor Supply store down there in NC somewhere. ha ha ha ha Actually. I didn't know what to do with them until I read this forum. I'm glad I didn't throw them out now.

Gee Cecil I wonder if they have any in the TSC in Oneonta? I have seen Diaelectric couplings there.

Oneonta is one of my favorite stores - at least it used to be back when it was a Tractor Supply store. I spent quite a bit of money there over the years. As to holes, I don't think the stores out here in the East carry them - not enough markup.

That is a handsome Cub, Cecil. And I think you are right about the situation here in the East. I have checked several suppliers here in Maine and they tell me that profit margin is so small they are afraid of going in the hole. :)

Well I hope someone on the east coast grasps the severity of the hole situation. Otherwise, someone will start importing those cheap chinese holes and you know the quality is not the same! :) :) :)
