I would call that an IH 3160 because the caster wheel brackets are welded onto the rails on a C-3 and are bolted on for a 3160. That's the difference in the two that I have anyways. Really it's six of one and half dozen of the other. They both use the same Danco spindles and about everything else. As far as I know both are IH white.

I missed the front hanger brackets that would indicate a 3160 mower.... So Scrivet would be correct, it is probably a 3160 mower .. see the parts breakdown - IH 3160 Rotary Cutter. And also as he said, they are pretty similar, minor differences that can confuse easily along with the chains and a clevis that can be seen attached to the front brackets. So looks like a 3160 used on a Farmall Cub.

Here are a couple pictures of a Sun Mastr 42 inch cut mower that I got with my 1976 IH Cub tractor. I apologize for the pictures, but it is all I have. The mower was taken off after I bought the tractor in 2010, and I never shot any pictures of it on there. I do have the advertisment picture though, which is what you see. I also included a picture of the mower unit off of the tractor, and it is the only one I have. If you look closely, you'll see the PTO guard that goes on the rear of the tractor, and you'll see the different mule drive setup. I'm not sure if it is original or not, but it has an adjustable belt tensioner on the mule drive with the twist of a t-handle. I thought this mower mowed much smoother than any Woods 42 I've used. If you'd like any more specific pictures, just let me know and I will be happy to snap some and send you this weeked.........if it doesn't slip my mind. :D

Now here is a Cub mower that is what I BELIEVE TO BE a "Bush Hog Brand" mower.

SAM_0569.jpg

This mower came with a Cub I bought at Auction back in the summer. It was like you see it, and I'm not sure what it is. It is similar to the one above, but I would like to confirm what it is. Maybe you or someone on here will be able to identify it.

These are of the Pennington 3 spindle deck that I use on my LoBoy. The mule drive I believe to be from a different brand, and the brackets are homemade to allow for FH operation. (You may not want to use that photo for accuracy sake) These were taken before any repairs or cleanup.

Great idea Barnyard..... we may even get folks to know the difference between a Woods 59 and L59 (59 fits a Cub and turns right).

Up to my eyeballs at the moment, but I will try to put a CD together with the stack of photos I have.

Yep Bob, Rudi is on the money on the Woods 42F and the FH mounted C-2. BTW there is a giant difference between a 42F and a RM-42.

Here is a Worthington. I don't own it any more, so don't know if I'll get a chance to take a picture of the mule drive. The drive looks much like a Woods 42 for a Farmall.
Are you just doing rotaries or you also interested in other types?
