Thinking of ya'll and the Mower Install

Postby ArtN » Sun Oct 07, 2012 12:30 pm

Thought about you guys this morning. Had a email from Snafu2985 asking for the pictures Mike from Louisiana sent me when I was trying to install my cub mower. I sent them. By the way the cub is doing fine. But anyway it made me think back to a funny story I thought I would share you guys. And who knows it may save someone else 100 bucks.

Funny Story on that Belly Mower sounds like you are trying to install it and I was removing it, redoing the mower and then doing a re-install with about 3 months in between. I work slowly but I am cheap. So just like me I bet you, you are trying to either get it under the mower from the left side (carb side) or from the front. I was down there in my garage for hours, sweating and cussing and couldn't figure why the SOB wouldn’t go under. Almost, but just not enough space. So the wife comes down to get a beer (city girl knows nothing about tractors) says what is a manner baby and I explain I can't get the SOB under the tractor. She walks around it with her beer in her hand and says there is a little more space from the right side have you tried that. Fact was I had pulled in next to wall and didn't think about the right side I figured the space was the same. So my temper got up a little and I said I have tried every damn way I can, I tell you what 100 bucks you can't do it. She says okay it will go in from the right side. I said fine do it. I moved the tractor over a few feet, it took her a little while to pull the mower over (with me helping just a little), she laid it on the floor, pushed back and it slide right under there. She takes a sip of her beer and says you got a hundred on you or you going to the bank today. Then laughed as she walked upstairs.
