If I was assembling one of them, I'd probably just use bolts. However, steel/steel pop rivets are available. It wouldn't be cost effective to buy a box of 500 just for 2 pulleys.

Re: Woods 42 cub mowerMy bearings arrived yesterday and I have the belt idler pulleys reassembled. I was fortunate to have a can full of old aircraft nuts & bolts from a former aircraft maintenance neighbor. I had just the right size, along with corresponding lock nuts.
Since retirement, the things I miss most are the holidays!
Re: Woods 42 cub moweraluminum rivets will last a long long time. until those bearings wear out.
